Good Friday Prayer Introduction
We welcome you to our Good Friday prayer resources. We invite you to pray as many or as few as you wish. Good Friday is traditionally observed from 12noon until 3pm on the Friday before Easter. It is a solemn and often silent time to reflect upon the sacrifice of Jesus giving his life to save ours. It is a time to remember his suffering and the unconditional love that he has for each one of us.
It may be helpful for you to be in a quiet place. You may want to light a candle or play some soft music.
Take a deep breath. Set aside all of the worries, anxieties, to do lists, thoughts that are on your mind and center yourself on God. Clear your mind so that you may be fully present to the one who loves you.
May God bless you in your prayer.
John 3:16-17
New International Version (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
New International Version (NIV)
